How Custodia Started

We started because the security and disaster recovery market was broken. The good solutions — tested regularly, flexible, genuinely managed — were priced for enterprises. The affordable ones handed you a dashboard and wished you luck.

Small and medium businesses were left choosing between protection they couldn't afford and tools they didn't have time to manage. We thought that was a problem worth solving.

What We Built

We started with a secure, air-gapped backup system running from two privately owned data vaults — shared by nobody else — providing ransomware-proof disaster recovery for every digital asset a business depends on.

Then we added managed network security, intrusion detection and incident response. Then business continuity planning. Then data protection compliance, policy writing and staff training. Then Cyber Essentials certification — we became an IASME-accredited Certification Body. Then ISO 27001 readiness preparation. Most recently, private intelligence — secure, hosted AI applications built around our clients' own data and workflows.

Each service grew from a real need we saw in the businesses we work with. Nothing was bolted on for the sake of a brochure.

Our Experience

Our directors have over 30 years of professional experience in software development, network security and data protection, including a degree in Computing with Artificial Intelligence. We are members of BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT), NCSC CISP, the East Midlands Cyber Resilience Centre and the Lincolnshire Chamber of Commerce. All of our work is insurance-backed.
